For most, Cooperstown, New York, is a destination. For me, it was home. Growing up in the shadows of the National Baseball Hall of Fame, I developed an affinity for this game long before I ever stepped into a varsity dugout. That early connection to the history and integrity of baseball has been my North Star, shaping every professional decision I’ve made since.

My name is Ryan Crawford, and I have spent over three decades in this sport—as a player, coach, and executive—ensuring that the passion I felt as a kid in Cooperstown translates into real-world opportunities for the next generation of athletes.

A Foundation of Service and Integrity

My perspective on leadership was forged in two very different environments. Before transitioning into education and sports, I served as a Police Officer in the NYPD, stationed in the 79th Precinct in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Working in Bed-Stuy taught me a level of discipline, resilience, and commitment to others that cannot be learned in a classroom. It instilled in me a non-negotiable standard for integrity—a trait I bring to every camp I run.

Following my service, I earned my Master’s in School Counseling and was eventually inducted into the NYS Baseball Hall of Fame (Section IV) in 2009. This unique combination of high-stakes experience and counseling expertise is my "secret weapon" for your family. I don’t just see a jersey number; I understand the psychological pressure and the emotional hurdles of the recruiting process. I am here to mentor the person, not just the player.

Why I Founded Diamond College Showcase

Throughout my career—leading varsity programs for 18 years, coaching at the collegiate level at Hartwick and SUNY Oneonta, and working elite DI camps for programs like Clemson, Cornell, and Hofstra—I saw a recurring problem. I saw families getting lost in the "showcase factory" model, where players are treated like data points rather than prospects.

After serving as the Chief Operating Officer for Showball, I decided to build a more intimate, high-impact alternative. I spent hundreds of hours collaborating with the top college coaches in the country to create Diamond College Showcase, built on three pillars designed specifically for the serious recruit:
